We live in a world that is constantly changing—a world that often feels unstable, disorienting, and even hostile. How can we remain strong and steadfast when problems come at us unexpectedly? After Jesus rose from the dead, He appeared to His disciples and said, “Peace be with you.” True peace in Christ shows that we are no longer controlled by fear. By looking at two Bible passages (John 20:19–23 and John 16:32–33), we will explore how to overcome fear and find the peace our souls truly need.

Paul reminds us in Galatians 5:23 that there is no law against demonstrating the fruit of the Spirit—a powerful reminder for those of us serving in government schools. But the Spirit doesn’t produce fruit without His people walking by the Spirit. When we do that, Jesus says that we will have streams of living water flowing out of our hearts. Is that possible in our schools? Is God waking up an army of educators who are overflowing with streams of living water?

A teacher’s influence reaches far beyond the lesson plan. In a world that often measures influence by popularity, we are called to seek God’s vision for our role—leading with purpose and intention through His empowerment. This session will explore how we can embrace our God-given influence to impact students, schools, and communities for His glory.

Plenaries

  • Speaker: Clint Elliott

Does your teaching environment present ongoing challenges to the exercise of your faith, creating personal strain, resulting in barriers to boldly influencing your campus for kingdom impact? What if you could change the spiritual climate of your campus environment and open up streams for God’s transformative love and truth at your school?

Developing and exercising transformational leadership as an ambassador for Christ on campus can impact lives and change the spiritual climate of your school.

During his earthly ministry, Jesus demonstrated an empowered model of transformational leadership and taught his disciples how to exercise such leadership for the spiritual transformation of others and communities.  This workshop will explore the four central components of transformational leadership for the Christian life through the lens of Scripture and educators' testimonies, and demonstrate how such leadership can empower educators to change lives and cultivate a spiritual environment founded upon God’s love and truth.

As educators who seek to evaluate and improve our teaching, we can easily fall into the trap of cultivating an inner voice that focuses on self-evaluation and self-improvement. As a result, we often get stuck feeling inferior and not good enough. In this practical, step-by-step workshop, you'll discover Immanuel Journaling, a simple method to leave behind the monologue with self and engage in a dialogue with God, leaving you connected to your loving Father who sees you, empathizes with you, and helps you.
